Precisely what I was looking for and needed!

Despite some hiccups with the initial order delivery, this thing (once acquired) was literally Magical. Not messy at all, "does what it says on the tin", can be layered every which way, and then some!

And while this brilliantly designed rosin is not the only element used in my current setup, it was certainly the most essential in establishing the best possible, sanity-saving, and cost-effective, base. If you don't need Extremely-Sticky-Sans-Sloppy-Seasonal-Goo for a weirdo bespoke blend--where a little goes a long way, the Ultra recipe also works wonders. Corroborating the other reviewer: yes, the X-Sound is quite robust overall, but everything depends on contextual specifics. In my complicated use cases (where the preliminary crazy work does yield a significant amount of convenience for the long haul once product properties are understood), this X formula is just plain Awesome.

Great gift for string instrument musicians!

It came super quickly and it looks great! The rosin is pretty good quality and gives you good traction on the strings. He loves the gift and will definitely think about getting this gift for my other musician friends again :)
